Write down as a vision,
Inscribe it on tablets;
For soon a collision,
Because of all your debts.

Write it so they can read,
Write what God has to say;
As to what they will need,
To do as to obey.

At the appointed time,
It tells about the end;
Lie not about your crime,
And then the Lord will mend.

Though there is a delay,
Wait until it arrives;
Continue to obey,
As the result contrives.

Egos are inflated,
And filled with sinful pride;
Become not elated,
To where you do abide.

Live by faith in the One,
The Righteous One Most High;
What God has truly done,
That no one can deny.

Proud men are not at rest,
Wine betrays through their greed;
Appetite in their quest,
Satisfies not their need.

All these take up a taunt,
With riddles and flouting;
Through His life they will haunt,
Complaining and pouting.

Lenders will soon arise,
As your troubles wake up;
Those who cheat and despise,
Put poison in your cup.

You plunder and pillage,
Cause bloodshed in the land;
Raped girls in the village,
Enslaved to your demand.

Woe to him who makes wealth,
For the stones will cry out;
Your life will have poor health,
For the Lord that you doubt.
