The secret counsel of the Lord,
For whoever is fearing Him;
Then has to be in one accord,
And will never be feeling grim.

For He reveals His covenant,
To anyone in one accord;
In your life He is prominent,
With your eyes always on the Lord.

He will pull you out of the snare,
When you are having any doubt;
Comforting while in despair,
Helping you to find the way out.

Turn to Him and to be gracious,
If all alone and afflicted;
He builds trust and makes courageous,
Pardons when you are convicted.

For distress in the heart increase,
Displayed out of your suffering;
While causing your grief to cease,
Comforting with His buffering.

Consider any affliction,
The troubles from all of your sin;
How it becomes an addiction,
By corrupting you deep within.

All pain from sin He will forgive,
Disciplines as to not to stray;
So, you have a better life to live,
And living in a righteous way.

Consider your foes how much they hate,
They are numerous wanting to rid;
A desire to show your fate,
For all of the goodness you did.

Plea to the Lord to keep your soul,
And He will teach you in the way;
Let Him at the helm to control,
So that you can trust and obey.

He will guard and deliver you,
Not letting you be put to shame;
For He is the God that is true,
And the One that you must proclaim.
