Oh! snow! is a wonderous thing,
Which poor weather folk reluctantly forcast.
They chant of perfect purity
When the six-foot drifts are on the ground.
And though my nose is dripping,
I listen to what the singers have said;
And thrill with sweet expectancy
To songs of pure white joy.
But as I pause to give as cheer-
My car slid into the curb.
