The Day of the Lord is near,
When your things are divided;
The things that you hold so dear,
Are no longer provided.

God will gather all nations,
Waging war against Zion;
Breaking off all relations,
Act like a roaring lion.

The city is exiled,
People not taken away;
Enslaved and defiled,
Satan will lead them astray.

But the Lord will do battle,
And fight against those nations;
Killing their herds of cattle,
And heighten their vexations.

On that day His feet will stand,
Upon the Mount of Olives;
And will split by His command,
Striking fear in the natives.

A great valley will exist,
As the mountain splits in two;
No longer nations persist,
Their fight would discontinue.

Through the valley they escape,
A quake causes them to flee;
They stop the pillage and rape,
For the Lord gave His decree.

On that day there be no light,
Heavenly sources congeal;
As they having lost their sight,
And the darkness would reveal.

It will happen in one day,
Not in the day nor by night;
But not totally away,
The evening will have light.

On that day living waters,
Will be seen as flowing out;
For the sons and daughters,
That had been holding some doubt.

And the people settle there,
No longer having a threat;
Safely be able to share,
No longer having to fret.
