Just say you won the lottery big time
And you wish to find a peaceful place
Where birds they sing and stars shine
And your mind still has some unused grace

Sitting out on a porch nights silence only
Where you can think of days long gone by
Loved now passed away lifes lessons learned
In old chair you can snooze dream and sigh

A warm fire place inside for a chilly night
Favorite bottle of port to sip now and again
Watch your garden grow flowers that bloom
Enjoy the sunshine and as well the gentle rain

Where peace of mind so easy there to find
Shelves of books read and to read even yet
A shed full of dry wood stacked in waiting
An old dog as friend and a ever trusting pet

A country store a phone call away if needed
Maybe a monthly trip into town for things
Knowing that if they don't hear from you
To say hello mate on a phone that seldom rings

A mailbox still down at the gate not far away
Vegitables preserved stored for another time
A softest ever bed to rest ones very head
Not far away a much loved oldest favorite wine

All one could ask for late in a once working life
A place to enjoy whats left of life slipping away
With no regrets of past years no built up tears
What more could any ask for in life need I say
