I will give thanks unto the Lord,
Because I love with my whole heart;
Since He is always adored,
His marvelous Word I impart.

I will be glad and exalt Him,
I will sing praise unto His name;
He fills me with spiritual vim,
O Most High whom I do proclaim.

For as my foes are turning back,
They have stumbled and will perish;
Because of the faith that they lack,
In His presence, I will cherish.

The Lord has maintained my just cause,
With righteous judgment from His throne;
As He erases all of my flaws,
Through my confession to atone.

He is rebuking the nation,
While destroying the impish;
But shielding His new creation,
To whom He will always cherish.

Destruction has come to an end,
Towns in ruins and rooted out;
No longer living who offend,
As well as those who have a doubt.

The Lord sits enthroned forever,
Established His throne for justice;
For His judgment will not sever,
Being the reigning judge as thus.

He judges us with righteousness,
All of the people of the earth;
Judging each of their uprightness,
As to what their merit is worth.

The Lord is also a refuge,
A stronghold in times of trouble;
No matter the size of deluge,
He rescues you from the rubble.

All of those who have known His name,
Have been putting their faith and trust;
Not forsaken and will proclaim,
No longer desiring their lust.
