A new resident arrives today
These are the days I dreed the most
Thinking how hard it must be
Taken away without any say
Taken from there home they love
Everything they held dear
Placed in a room with a stranger next to you
Wanting only to go home
Wondering what they did wrong
Why there family abandoned them
Leaving them all alone
I see the sadness in there eyes
Tears they fight not to cry
Some days are more than I can bare
Even I must wonder
Does there family even care
This man this woman gave them life
Took care of them
Never giving it a second thought
During there growing years they was there
Sometimes it wasn't easy
They stood by you regardless
So why is it so hard for us
To be there during there golden years
