Hold no guilt of testimony,
Share suffering, be not ashamed;
Never try to be a phony,
Let the Gospel to be proclaimed.

Who called us to holy calling,
Was not because of our deeds;
The grace of Christ stopped the falling,
Through His Word the One who bleeds.

For it has been manifested,
The appearing of our Savior;
Abolished death as attested,
And looking on us with favor.

God charged me as a poet,
Appointed me as a teacher;
Writing as a daily habit,
For being a rhyming preacher.

This is why we also suffer,
But I will never be ashamed;
Because Jesus is my buffer,
From the Gospel that I have claimed.

I am convinced and do believe,
Able to guard until that day;
No longer will I have to grieve,
The reason I trust and obey.


Hold fast the form of His sound Word,
With faith and love in Jesus Christ;
No matter of what else you heard,
About this earth that has enticed.

By the Holy Spirit who dwells,
Guards your entrusted deposit;
A talent so that one excels,
Keeping you spiritually fit.
