Preserve me, O God, my refuge,
For in you do I put my trust;
I am pelted with a deluge,
From the desires of the lust.

For You are my Lord and my God,
I am no good apart from you;
And persist to honor and laud,
Knowing You are faithful and true.

As for the saints dwell in this land,
Are excellent whom I delight;
They have been such a helping hand,
While doing all that is right.

The sorrows of those who may run,
After other gods multiply;
Believe not on what you have done,
For as Your Word they will deny.

You have chosen inheritance,
Within my cup and hold my lot;
Because I give my acceptance,
As my Lord, You never forgot.

The lines fall in pleasant places,
And beautiful inheritance;
I delight in Your embraces,
That will allow me to advance.

I bless You, O Lord for counsel,
Instructing my heart in the night;
Guarding me from all the turmoil,
By giving me needed insight.

I set You always before me,
Because You are at my right hand;
Your Word always gives dignity,
Not moved by what people demand.

You make known of my path of life,
As my flesh also dwells secure;
As You guide me avoiding strife,
For the fulness that You adore.
