Grandma made gooseberry pies. She picked 
the berries from a bush in her backyard. I
remember it was a treat back then but I don't
know how I would feel about the taste right
now.
Grandpa mowed his lawn with a mower
that didn't have an engine. He was a tough
old bird. He fought in the trenches in France.
He retired in a small town in the Midwest. He
liked to write poems.
