The Lord works righteousness,
Justice for the oppressed;
And showers godliness,
On all who are blessed.

He made known of His ways,
His acts to the people;
Disciplines all who strays,
Avoiding His temple.

The Lord is merciful,
As well as gracious;
Giving a beautiful,
Dwelling that is spacious.

For He is abounding,
Having a steadfast love;
All works so astounding,
For what comes from above.

He is slow to anger,
He will not always chide;
But is pleased to languor,
To all that will abide.

He does not deal with us,
According to your sin;
Nor repaying as thus,
Iniquities within.

For as high as Heaven,
That is above the earth;
Steadfast love is given,
Who fear that shows its worth.

As far as west from east,
He removes transgressions;
And prepares our feast,
After the confessions.

For He shows compassion,
To His children who fear;
Comforting in fashion,
While you are drawn near.

For He knows our frame,
Remembers we are dust;
Remembers our name,
Whoever puts their trust.
