Through the grace given unto me,
I say to each one amongst you;
To think of himself more highly,
But by thinking of what is true.

Rather think with sober judgment,
To the step of faith God assigned;
But temptation causes torment,
Feeling about losing your mind.

One body having many parts,
Each member has just one function;
And do not have separate hearts,
But all will feel deep compunction.

For we are one body in Christ,
What strikes one affects another;
The whole body is sacrificed,
Since it will affect each other.

Each has then a differing gift,
According to the grace given;
Each member as well must up lift,
To help with their gift from Heaven.

If prophecy, then prophesy,
Differing according to grace;
Teachers teach who may wonder why,
As the eyes see what they will face.

To our faith in proportion,
If service in our serving;
Never causing a distortion,
With situations unnerving.

Whoever exhorts, contributes,
In his exhortation to God;
For their worshipping executes,
With praising of honor and laud.

Anyone who leads with their zeal,
Let them do in simplicity;
With diligence how one will feel,
Of mercy with generosity.

Acts of mercy with cheerfulness,
Someone who is leading in joy;
God will reward with blessedness,
As unselfishness does employ.
