The Spirit of God is in me,
Because the Lord has anointed;
To bring good news for all to see;
For the chosen He appointed.

He has sent me for binding up,
The brokenhearted to proclaim;
For filling to the brim their cup,
The liberty within His name.

The opening of prison gates,
Proclaiming the year of the Lord;
As someone patiently awaits,
To greet the ones who have adored.

A day of vengeance of the Lord,
While comforting all who mourn;
All of those that have just ignored,
Of the Scriptures that He did warn.

He grants all of those in sorrow,
To give them a beautiful crown;
That they have hope for tomorrow,
Since today they have felt so down.

The oil of gladness to pour,
And wearing the garment of praise;
Not of a faint spirit to assure,
That life does have a second phase.

Planting the oaks of righteousness,
So that the Lord is glorified;
And rebuilding the blessedness,
That He may become satisfied.

Rebuilding the ancient ruins,
Raise up former devastations;
Repair the cities of the ones,
Ravaged by past generations.

You have glory instead of shame,
No dishonor rather rejoice;
With laud and praise of the Lord’s name,
Worship by singing with your voice.

In your land you yield abundant,
And possess a double portion;
As a steward and attendant,
Perfectly clear no distortion.
