We thank the Father of the Lord,
For Jesus when we pray for you;
As we remain in one accord,
Everything we say and do.

In hearing of your faith in Christ,
Of the love you have for the saints;
You are not becoming enticed,
Of this place not having complaints.

Because of hope laid up for you,
Of this you know from the Word;
Unto the Gospel remain true,
Of everything you have heard.

Indeed in the world bearing fruit,
Telling others while you preach;
Letting the grace of God firmly root,
Becoming deeper in your reach.

Just as you already have learned,
About being a minister;
Always think of and be concerned,
Of any acting sinister.

You have declared to us your love,
Of each other and the Spirit;
As God sends blessings from above.
When you do good in your merit.

And so from the day that we heard,
We have not ceased to pray for you;
Wisdom and knowledge of the Word,
Understanding what you construe.

As you walk worthy of the Lord,
Bear fruit for everything good;
Doing all that you can afford,
In the manner that the Lord would.

May you be strengthened by His might,
Matching His glorious patience;
Endurance with joy and insight,
While staying in compliance.

Give thanks unto our Father,
Who has qualified you to share;
Each of the saints as your brother,
Showing how much you really care.
