If you have been raised with Christ,
Seek the things that are above;
Let yourself not be enticed,
Found upon the earth thereof.

Seek the things where Jesus dwells,
Sits at the right hand of God;
The Holy Spirit excels,
Cleansing you where you are flawed.

Set your mind on things up above,
Not on things that are on earth;
Christ gives affection and love,
As His Spirit gives new birth.

For you died your life hidden,
With Jesus which is in God;
To void what is forbidden,
So, you can honor and laud.

When Christ in your life appears,
You will appear in glory;
Chasing away doubts and fears,
Revealing His full story.

Put to death the earthly you,
Desires and passion;
Impurity you construe,
Of idolatry fashion.

For the wrath of God comes nigh,
Whoso are disobedient
Atheists will wonder why,
Judgment as expedient.

In these you also once walked,
When you were living in them;
Vulgar language that you talked,
God was prepared to condemn.

But you must put them away,
Wrath, malice, and slander;
No longer to lead you stray,
And aimlessly meander.

Lie not to one another,
Dodge the old self and its deeds;
Help your sister and brother,
Catering upon their needs.

You have a new self to wear,
Born with knowledge and wisdom;
That enables you to share,
With others on His Kingdom.
