I beseech you by the meekness,
Entreat the gentleness of Christ;
Who humbled me in the bleakness,
Boldly toward being sacrificed.

I beg of you that when I am,
Here not showing of my boldness;
But the attitude of a lamb,
Attempting not to show coldness.

For though in the flesh that we walk,
And we are not for waging war;
The weapons of warfare is talk,
Which is the truth deep in its core.

Divine power destroys strongholds,
Destroying lofty opinions;
Against God the plan that unfolds,
For destroying such dominions.

Take thoughts captive to obey Christ,
Be ready to be disciplined;
If you stray and become enticed,
By the evil that you have sinned.

Look at what is before your eyes,
If you are confident in Christ;
Having knowledge to make you wise,
Wisdom from Him made you enticed.

For even if I boast too much,
Which the Lord gave for building up;
Never be ashamed of His touch,
For nourishing me with His cup.

I do not want to terrify,
Or appear to be frightening;
But the truth we cannot deny,
The Gospel as enlightening.

For I write as weighty and strong,
Because of the body is weak;
Contemptible speech can be wrong,
When it is Heaven that you seek.

Let such a person understand,
Of what we say is what we think;
What we do as to the demand,
That God gives for to eat and drink.

Not that we dare to classify,
Comparing yourself to others;
Rather trying to purify,
Making them sisters and brothers.
