Thirst for love

Time has driven us away from each other...
Inside my self, there's a point
Where I find you every day
You're part of my poetry
You're a little bit of the air my being breathes.
I'm thirsty for you
I need you.
I confess, despite the weather,
The distance, the age, you're there,
In an unreality that I don't know definitively
My commitment to being an adult
It involves my conduct in the teenager you met.
Have you forgotten me?
Sometimes I hold myself in your arms,
Surrounded by your embrace,
Sliding your semi-naked body,
A body of an Indian descendant,
That I still live to wish.
Will you remember me somewhere?
I don't know!
Only, I still confess, that I thirst to love you,
And I'm sorry I wasn't bold when I was fourteen,
And give me to you.
Ah, time, my friend and enemy,
That one day we'll meet again together,
Before men and God.

São Paulo, April 24, 2009.
10:30 am - handwritten poetry in one of my notebooks.

Today 26/07/2019. Revised for these virtual sites, and in two languages, English and Portuguese.
I offer it to everyone who knew me from an early age.
To friends, some unforgettable.
