We ask and urge you in the Lord,
As you received on how you ought;
Never to let God be ignored,
Remembering how you were bought.

You ought to walk and to please God,
Just as you are doing and more;
Always to give honor and laud,
Love Him in your heart to the core.

For you know what you have been told,
Instructions given through the Lord;
Never to be brazen or bold,
Rather to be in one accord.

Because this is the will of God,
Avoid any iniquity;
So that you do not become flawed,
Through any immorality.

Know how to control your body,
Honoring Him in holiness;
Always think of being godly,
As to receive His blessedness.

Avoid in the passion of lust,
Like the ones who do not know God;
Rather putting all of your trust,
While giving honor and laud.

Never transgress or to do wrong,
To your brother in this matter;
Causing agony to prolong,
That you regret in the latter.

God is an avenger of things,
Taking others down the wrong path;
So never venture where it brings,
You in direct line of His wrath.

God is calling us to be pure,
And into sanctification;
Letting not temptation to lure,
Through sexual fornication.

Therefore, whoever would disregard,
Disregards not man but the Lord;
Also consider to be barred,
From Heaven if it is ignored.

Shoot for to lead a quiet life,
And minding to your own affairs;
He will help you to cope with strife,
In anything that someone shares.
