Who has believed what we have heard,
To whom has the arm of the Lord;
Has been revealed within the Word,
And that should never be ignored.

Who has believed our report,
That through the cross has been revealed;
For what the believers support,
The benefit has been unsealed.

He shall grow up as a young plant,
Like a root ascends from dry ground;
And that God would graciously grant,
His reign in Heaven to be crowned.

He had no form or majesty,
That we should be looking at Him;
No beauty or real dignity,
In a world that had so much grim.

He was despised and rejected,
While being a man feeling grief;
Treated by some as rejected,
But optimistic through belief.

One from whom men hides their faces.
Esteemed Him not rather despised;
Very few look for His embraces,
Rather someone who was chastised.

Surely, He had borne our griefs,
And carried out our sorrow;
For those who would have firm beliefs,
Through faith of hope for tomorrow.

Yet we esteemed Him to stricken,
Smitten by God and afflicted;
Punishment that one would sicken,
On one not being convicted.

He was pierced for your transgression,
Crushed for our iniquities;
A benefit of His passion,
For all our calamities.

All are like sheep have gone astray,
But laid on your iniquity;
For all who have turned to His way,
Ridding us of anxiety.
