Your words have been hard against me,
How have we spoken against you;
For after all, can you not see,
That we have been loyal and true.

Tis vain to serve another God,
What profit to our keeping;
For the only one that we laud,
That has been watching us weeping.

We have been walking in mourning,
While waiting the Lord of Host;
Because you come without warning,
By sending us the Holy Ghost.

We call the arrogant blessed,
Evildoers only prosper;
When they all should be arrested,
For not worshipping You proper.

They are putting You to the test;
Any consequence they escape;
For immorality their quest,
Enabled to pillage and rape.

Then all those who have feared the Lord,
Have spoken to one another;
Feeling as though You have ignored.
The righteous sister and brother.

A book of remembrance written,
Of those who have revered the Lord;
Ensured that they are not smitten,
Because they have loved and adored.

They shall belong unto the Lord,
In that day to be His treasure;
His possession in one accord,
That God will spare for His pleasure.

God will spare of those who serve Him,
For seeing of the distinction;
Pure glows bright as wicked glow dim,
Evil slated for extinction.
