When you appear before the Lord,
Who has required at His hand;
Are you still let it be ignored,
As stated within His command.

You must hear the Word of the Lord,
Give ear unto the Law of God;
Why you must be in one accord,
While giving honor and laud.

No longer bring vain offerings,
Which is an abomination;
What the new moon or Sabbath brings,
The calling of convocation.

I endure not iniquity,
Or any solemn assembly;
That is filled with impurity,
Which are never very humbly.

Your new moon and appointed feast,
Became a burden my soul hates;
So, prepare to see the High Priest,
Whose judgments are what will seal fates.

I am weary of bearing them,
Whenever you spread out your hands;
I hide my eyes He will condemn,
For not meeting of His demands.

Even though you make many prayers,
Both of your hands are full of blood;
He listens not what your mouth shares,
Since they are drowning in a flood.

Wash yourself and make yourself clean,
Remove the evil of your deeds,
Before my eyes evil has been,
Cease and think of spiritual needs.

Seek justice and learn to do good,
Relieve and correct oppression;
Bring justice for those that have stood,
For widows under aggression.

Come let us reason together,
Though your sins are like scarlet;
Before the Lord let us gather,
Never again to see a harlot.

If willingly obedient,
You shall eat good within the land;
No longer to be indecent,
What the mouth of God does command.
