Reticent and unwilling
To look inside
Take a chance and embrace
The love that is around you
But in short supply
As you denied their feelings
Under the cloud of suspicion
And a dire condition
Of losing heart.

You must carry on with faith
Or risk being the eternal weasel
The coward afraid of his own shadow
Symbolic gallows
You create in mind
You mustn’t pledge allegiance
To the American way of blaming others
For your plight
There is one direction
Worth his salt
And you must get it through your head
That you can’t do it alone
Lest suffer fools gladly.

So why not love life madly?
With energy?
Inspiration?
Excitement beyond the menacing slow death of complacency?
Why are you scared of succeeding?
Failure isn’t your mantra.
