God Our Refuge

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble;
Persevering to any length,
For pulling me from the rubble.
We will not fear the earth gives way,
Though mountains move into the sea;
As the night moves out for the day,
The water roars as it flows free.
Even though the waters may roar,
The mountains tremble as they swell;
The waves crashing onto the shore,
The mountains stand firm where they dwell.
There is a river of whose streams,
Has made glad the city of God;
The holy place that one esteems,
For going to honor and laud.
God is within the midst of her,
And help her at the morning dawn;
Making no insult or a slur,
As the dark of night has been gone.
The heathen rage as they totter,
The Lord will utter with His voice;
The mountains melt next to the water,
As the earth is having no choice.
The Lord of Hosts is here with us,
The God of Jacob a fortress;
A refuge and safe place as thus,
Sheltering at a time of stress.
Come, behold the works of the Lord,
With desolation on the earth;
For the heathens that have ignored,
Giving the righteous a new birth.
The end of the world makes wars cease,
Breaking the bow, shatters the spear;
Burns chariots for bringing peace,
As the righteous will still revere.
Be still and know who is your God,
We will exalt Him on the earth;
Continued to honor and laud,
Because of having priceless worth.
