The world was drenched and dreary,
All muddy was the path,
The clouds hung black and soggy
And life was abounding with rain.
With outlook nothing but stormy
Yet all is well once more
And all the world is a rainbow-
You smiled at me in the rain.
No lightenings flash or thunders roll
No dreary drop of rain
For my heart is filled with joy
No drabness could stay.
No darkness of lowering storm
Leaves it's depressing force
For all the world is sunshine-
Since you smiled at me in the rain.
