I have a brand new neighbor now,
His actions do alarm,
Morals mean nothing to him,
He stays up half the night.
He never has been married,
And yet it is common gossip
He lives here with a woman
And doesn't worry about it.
He never thinks to pay a bill,
He never speaks to no one,
He doesn't worry about his clothes
And doesn't care if he wears any.
He never answers the telephone,
And here is the worst thing yet,
He never argues politics,
He may be wet or dry.
He never does a lick of work
He doesn't study at all,
I never saw him read a book,
I've heard him brawl and rant.
His family all were sturdy stock,
His mother was a lady,
But maybe he is not so bad-
He's just a day-old baby.
