The Lord comforts His people,
Speaking tenderly to them;
Announcing in the temple,
No longer will He condemn.

Forced labor is now finished,
Iniquity is pardoned;
No longer to be tarnished,
What made your hearts be hardened.

Prepare the way for the Lord,
Make a road in the desert;
Remaining in one accord,
He comes to give you comfort.

Every valley lifted,
Mountains and hills leveled;
The Lord see you as gifted,
Seeing you He is reveled.

God will smooth out the rough land,
As His glory will appear;
He will make fertile the sand,
All will see both far and near.

So, what should I then cry out,
Humanity is all grass;
I just do not have a doubt,
What happens as time does pass.

Grass withers as flowers fade,
The breath of the Lord will blow;
And fallen leaves have decayed,
While the autumn winds flow.

But the Word stays forever,
Heralding of the Good News;
That will not burn or sever,
Allowing the right to choose.

Raise up your voice shout out loud,
Raising it and do not fear;
Looking up into the cloud,
Knowing that the Lord is near.

A shepherd that guards His sheep,
Ensures to protect the flock;
His watchful eyes never sleep,
Safe while soothed from His talk.
