There is almost something sacred
About a fiberglass fishing pole
With a hook and line attached to it
That can save a poor mans core
And leave him feeling
Like there was a circle of light
Surrounding him.
There is a pack of rest and comfort
Just in fishing for a guy,
And peaceful relaxation
Like his troubles are not there
That send him home rejoicing
He's been doing what he did.
There's such joy in snagging trout
That no other sport can top
And I would pay a pretty penny
Just to hook a tasty bunch,
For me what were trout made for
(Aside from watching their beautiful
swimming in a water pool)
If they weren't made to catch.
