Loneliness of Wealth
Category: /General/

I saw conceit under the sun,
One person who has no other;
No end to all the toil done,
Neither a son nor a brother.
My eyes are never satisfied,
With the riches of all its wealth;
Deprived of the pleasure implied,
In having a fortunate health.
Two are always better than one,
Because they have a good reward;
The father labors with the son,
It brings a delight to the Lord.
If one falls, the other lifts up,
But woe to him who is alone;
No one able to share a cup,
Or help to move a heavy stone.
For if two would lie together,
They keep warm from each other’s heat;
But if another won’t gather,
That one person would have cold feet.
Although a man just might prevail,
But two are able to withstand;
Since the bonding of two entail,
Whatever the task would demand.
