The thrilling age!
There's something in the glory and radiance
of the sun,
When steel and stone and wheels and air
Welcome the golden one!

It's such an age to be living!
But tomorrow we'll be rueing
Fking forth our sorrow to the wind
And the things we now are doing.

I breathe the world-thought,
And see my treasures in the bank,
I'm a hermit soul that lives withdrawn
With no questions of title and rank.

Let me live in a house by the side of the road
That pay me the most dividends
Where the race of people go by
Which will be found in the hearts of my friends.
