Those who survived the sword found grace,
When Israel was seeking rest;
In the wasteland God did embrace,
For the journey during their quest.

The Lord appeared from far away,
He loved with an eternal love;
Faithfulness even when they stray,
Ensuring of their needs thereof.

He will build and they shall be built,
As they adorn with tambourines;
Confession takes away the guilt,
Like a Father He intervenes.

For they shall go forth in the dance,
And plant vineyards in the mountains;
Merrymakers like the deer they prance,
Vineyards nourished by the fountains.

They will enjoy fruit in the fall,
As they wait for the Lord their God;
The day when the watchman will call,
To go to Zion to serve and laud.
