As you have always obeyed,
Not only in my presence;
You need never be afraid,
Anymore, in my absence.

Work out your own salvation,
With having fear and trembling;
You are a new creation,
Being in Christ resembling.

For God who works good in you,
Working for His good pleasure;
In all that you say or do,
Because you are His treasure.

Do all things without grumbling,
Be blameless and innocent;
Speak up and stop your mumbling,
As one made magnificent.

You shine as lights in this world,
A child without blemish;
Part of God’s plan as unfurled,
That He needs to replenish.

Hold fast to the Word of life,
For the day that Christ returns;
Labor not in vain causing strife,
Eventually each one learns.

Even poured out as a drink,
Offered as a sacrifice;
Gladly rejoice as you think,
Allowing God to entice.

For you should also be glad,
As you rejoice in the Lord;
Never needing to be sad,
Always be in one accord.
