I remind you of these things,
And charge you before the Lord;
For quarreling what it brings,
Ruin hearers of the Word.

Show yourself sanctioned by God,
And no need to be ashamed;
Rightly handling truth not flawed,
Approval to be proclaimed.

Shun profane and vain smatter,
Blabbing leads to godlessness;
Cause believers to scatter,
And losing their righteousness.

Their talk spreads like a cancer,
Rather than swerved with the truth;
Prayers to God, He won’t answer,
An attitude that’s uncouth.

Ensure your faith remains strong,
And God’s firm foundation stands;
Resurrection won’t be long,
As final judgment demands.

The Lord knows those who are His,
Let them depart from the dark;
Enter the spiritual bliss,
Into His light to embark.
