Let me take a ride on the river
of floating words.
Looking and seeing the world
through the window slats and
dying bushes.
I think of yesterday and the
slight badness from the contact
of certain people.
Now, today I think of the supreme
goodness from the contact
of the same people.
I want to tell them that I am sorry
for resenting them and that I forgive
them.
Afterwards, I shall be on my merry
old way.
A guitar playing, blossom drawing,
pen and ink, steel string, and wooden
bulk of a man that I am.
Happy to walk on the moist dry dirt.
I am happy to wave hello.
