See the letters that I write,
Unto you with my own hand;
Attempting to give insight,
In which the Lord did command.

It is those who want to make,
In the flesh a good showing;
Who would make you be awake,
Persecuted in knowing.

Make you to be circumcised,
And persecuted for the cross;
That you would be criticized,
To be boasting for your loss.

Far be it from me to boast,
Except for Jesus the Lord;
Think of the heavenly host,
That should never be ignored.

The world has crucified me,
Viewing the old rugged cross;
As a symbol when I see,
So much mayhem and chaos.

Neither circumcision counts,
Only as a new creature;
Earthly desires renounce,
To be a righteous feature.

For all who walk by this rule,
Grace and mercy upon them;
Never considered a fool,
The Lord will never condemn.

Let no one cause me trouble,
I bear the marks of the Lord;
Christ pulled me from the rubble,
Since I rest in one accord.
