Foolish Wisdom

Whoever corrects a scoffer,
He will then get himself abused;
Reprove wicked men to offer,
incurs harm in making them amused.

Do not reprove any mocker,
Expect him to be hating you;
He will then become a stalker,
Waiting for the slip up you do.

But to reprove any wise man,
He will love for what you have done;
He will then evaluate his plan,
What he had already begun.

Give instruction unto the wise,
They will become even wiser;
Teach the righteous with open eyes,
They will learn from an adviser.

The fear of the Lord is the start,
At the beginning of wisdom;
The holy knowledge in the heart,
Unto the heavenly kingdom.

By God, your days are multiplied,
Years will be added to your life;
Knowledge and wisdom be applied,
To ease the tension of your strife.

For yourself, you will then be wise,
If you scoff you bear it alone;
When wiser you open your eyes,
While your wisdom will have grown.
