You were Gentiles at one time,
And called the uncircumcision;
Made from flesh by hands for your crime,
As what the priest would envision.

You were separated from Christ,
Aliens from the commonwealth;
Strangers of what was sacrificed,
Without hope for spiritual health.

Now in Christ you have been brought near,
From afar bestowed by His blood;
He is our peace we revere,
Immersed in the baptismal flood.

He has made us being both one,
And broke down the dividing wall;
What the hostility has done,
When Adam had taken his fall.

By abolishing commandments,
Expressed in the ordinances;
By making peace through disbandments,
Faith guarantees assurances.

He might reconcile us both,
To God in one flesh through the cross;
Allowing the righteousness growth,
Giving hostility a loss.

He came and preached peace unto you,
When you were far off and those near;
All that He said told that was true,
Paying homage as you revere.

Through Christ we have the access,
To the Father and the Spirit;
Letting our faith to confess,
Together in what we merit.
