No temple was in the city,
For its temple is the Lord God;
The righteous were the remittee,
To the Lamb to honor and laud.

No need for the moon or the sun,
The glory of God gives it light;
Its light is the lamb as the Son,
Whose radiance remains so bright.

By its light, the nations will walk,
Glory and honor on the kings;
They will also righteously talk,
For the blessings that the Lord brings.

Its gate will never shut by day,
And there shall not be any night;
Unto the Lord lighting the way,
For His pleasure and His delight.

Glory and honor of nations,
Brought into New Jerusalem;
As part of the new foundations,
That blocks those whom God did condemn.

But nothing unclean will embark,
Nor someone who is defiled;
The Lamb’s Book of Life will earmark,
One who is not Satan’s child.
