Do not love the things in this place,
Someone putting with worldly lust,
The Father’s love giving no grace;
Is not having in God we trust.
The desires of flesh and eyes,
Also has sinful pride of life;
A form from Satan in disguise,
Causing them turmoil and strife.
For the world is passing away,
And along with its desire;
Whoso does not abide will stray,
God casts in the lake of fire.
