What a shame
To shut out the holiness
In your view
You’ve gotta look
Strive
Be alive in spirit
Or leave others with no choice
But to query a misanthrope.

Choking on the toxicity
You swallowed hook, line and sinker
The traumatic events that shaped you
Don’t have to define you
You give the jailor the key
And subject yourself
To a lifetime of misery
And for what?
To be a martyr?
You are capable of so much more
But you let others dictate
What door you walk through.

There is another way out
No determined by lies
Deceit
Man made distractions
False gurus
You need to be in touch
With the highest, powerful source
Cause you’ll never experience
And achieve the fullest joy
And contentment
Unless you are right with yourself
Let go of all that emotional garbage
And let in peace
Hope
That awesome serenity
That you felt
But left too quickly
For you didn’t believe
You were worthy of such a grace
This isn’t a race
But a journey
And what matters is what legacy
You leave at the end.
