Shadows on my mind-shades of yesterday
come and go all the time.
Once my life was abundant with rhythm and rhyme,
sunny sunny days and starry, starry nights,
full of love and laughter with family and friends.
Days I thought would never end!
Now I ponder whatever happened to those days
of happiness and delight?
Cloudy, days and rainy nights are here to stay,
old age has made it that way!
But, I am happy to say, I can still dream of those sunny,
sunny days and starry, starry nights as Vincent once did-
just a portrait from the palette of my life!
